Role Purpose

The Site Contracts Associate supports day-to-day contract administration and commercial governance at project site by capturing contemporaneous records, supporting variations/claims/EOT documentation, assisting billing substantiation, and coordinating with site teams and Engineer/PMC to safeguard the organization’s contractual and commercial interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support interpretation and application of Contract Agreement, GCC/SCC, BOQ, Specifications, Drawings, method statements for site decisions and correspondence.
  • Assist the site team in ensuring contractual compliance (submittals, approvals, notices, timelines, etc.)
  • Maintain and update hindrance/delay register, site instruction log, drawing/approval tracker, RFI register, NCR/observation tracker, and daily progress evidence.
  • Compile event-wise evidence packs (minutes, approvals, correspondence) for variations/EOT/claims.
  • Identify scope change triggers: Engineer instructions, drawing revisions, geology/support changes, quantity deviations, methodology changes.
  • Assist in preparation of variation proposals with technical justification and commercial backup.
  • Assist in preparation of EOT submissions: chronology, cause effect narrative, resource disruption evidence, approvals/pending decisions.
  • Support QS/billing team with measurement sheets, RFI/WIR approvals, test reports, reconciliation of executed quantities.
  • Track certified vs submitted vs pending RA bill status; follow up for certifications, clarifications, and closure of observations.
  • Preparation of drafts for day-to-day site letters/notices (variations, delays, approvals, etc.).

Indicative Experience and Exposure

  • BE / B.Tech (Civil Engineering preferred); Diploma in Civil Engineering acceptable; MBA / PG in Construction or Contract Management preferred
  • 1 –4 years of experience in Contracts / Commercial roles within infrastructure, preferably Tunnels, Hydro, or heavy civil projects.
  • Basic understanding of FIDIC / EPC Contracts in Tunnels & Hydro projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and document management systems.
