Role Purpose

The role holder is responsible to Lead Geology function at project. The incumbent is accountable for ensuring timely project delivery by aligning observations with consultants, reviewing subcontractor work, and proposing geological solutions. The purpose of this role is to maintain safe tunnel works through accurate 3D dimension logging and rock classification. Responsible for stakeholder management, joint inspections, red flag escalation, and providing timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the availability of safe passage for tunnel works by maintaining accuracy in 3D dimension logging.
• Classify rocks accurately to contribute to effective project planning.
• Conduct thorough reviews of work delivery by subcontractors, ensuring compliance to prevent project delays.
• Proactively identify and eliminate surprises related to geological factors, prioritizing the safety of the project.
• Propose geological solutions to address potential issues and ensure compliance at the project site.
• Conduct joint inspections with clients to assess project progress and ensure alignment with expectations.
• Address and timely escalate any red flags to the corporate team, providing comprehensive information.
• Handle client communication to resolve ambiguities, fostering clear and effective collaboration.
• Provide accurate and timely insights to relevant stakeholders.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

• BE/B. Tech in Geosciences with 7-10 years’ experience in construction industry.
• M. Tech in Geosciences with 5-7 years of experience.
• Experience of having worked in the area of Geology at Tunnel project.
