Role Purpose

  • The purpose of this role is to assess and identify high potential bids for GRIL and ensure all the requirements are in place for managing the bidding process.
  • The incumbent is responsible for ensuring all the required approvals are in place and the project feasibility has been taken into account prior to placing the bid.
  • The incumbent will oversee the successful submission of the bid.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bid Creation and Submission – Collaborate  and  support  the  Head - Business  Development  (BD) in  identifying  possible  business  opportunities based on GRIL's strengths, bid value and feasibility. Guide and review the bid document creation to ensure accuracy and timely submission. Ensure adherence to all SLAs and SOPs of the Business Development function.
  • Bid Process Management – Understand the requirements as per the bid, and guide the team on the approvals that may be needed. Review the outcome of the feasibility study to ensure all the parameters are relevant and accounted. Present the outcome to the senior management in collaboration with the General Manager and successfully arrive at a competitive bid price.
  • Operational Metrics & Reporting –  Capture bid operational metrics and catalogue the status. Create and validate records of bids applied for, acceptance, rejection, bids won, bids lost (reasons for the loss) across GRIL. Validate the analysis and trends and take appropriate actions to improve the bidding success rate.
  • People management –  Take accountability for metrics like attrition, recruitment for team members. Maintain a track of errors through statistical techniques and build an experience database to aid the team. Maintain and enhance the functional expertise for the team basis regulatory/industrial offerings.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering with  9-13 years experience in handling multiple successful bid submissions

or

  • B.T ech / M.T ech with 6-10 years  experience in handling multiple successful bid submissions
  • Experience in handling bid functions at  projects with a scope of around INR 500 - crore INR 1000  crore
