Role Purpose

The Project Controls Associate is responsible for supporting contract administration, compliance, and commercial management for Tunnels & Hydro projects by assisting in contract review, claims documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to safeguard contractual and commercial interests of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in review and interpretation of contract agreements, GCC, SCC, BOQs, and technical specifications.
  • Support contract administration activities in line with contractual terms and project requirements.
  • Assist in identification, documentation, and tracking of variations, deviations, and change orders.
  • Support preparation of variation proposals with necessary technical and commercial justifications.
  • Assist in maintaining delay records, site instructions, and substantiating documents.
  • Coordinate with finance and project teams to support cash flow realization.
  • Assist in identifying contractual risks and maintaining risk registers.
  • Assist in tracking certified, paid, and outstanding bill values.
  • Coordinate with project sites, engineering, planning, procurement, and finance teams.
  • Understanding of BOQ, escalation/price adjustment provisions.
  • Track notices within contractual timelines
  • Draft contractual correspondence to Employer/Engineer/Authority and Consultants for notices, claims intimation, variations/Change Orders, EOT, etc.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

  • BE / B.Tech (Civil Engineering preferred); Diploma in Civil Engineering acceptable; MBA / PG in Construction or Contract Management preferred
  • 1 –4 years of experience in Contracts / Commercial roles within infrastructure, preferably Tunnels, Hydro, or heavy civil projects.
  • Basic understanding of EPC contracts in Tunnels & Hydro projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and document management systems.
