Role Purpose
Responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance and driving business development initiatives for power transmission projects. This role focuses on identifying growth opportunities, managing regulatory approvals, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all Substation and Transmission Line projects meet local, state, and regulatory bodies.
- Secure necessary permits and approvals from regulatory bodies like MOP, APTEL, CERC, CEA, CTUIL, NLDC, RPC, RLDC.
- Obtain environmental clearances and NOCs from relevant authorities.
- Review and support the site execution team in obtaining necessary No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from authorities such as Civil Aviation, Defence, Waterways, Navigation, Railways, and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise on compliance impact.
- Interpret and communicate regulatory requirements to stakeholders.
- Maintain records of all regulatory interactions, permits, and compliance documents.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure continuous regulatory compliance.
- Act as the primary liaison between the company, regulatory agencies, and external partners.
- Coordinate and lead discussions with government bodies and community stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations (OSHA, Clean Air Act, etc.).
- Coordinate with CEA and CTUIL on new Transmission projects.
- Track MOP project declarations for strategic planning.
- Engage with PFCCL and RECPDCL on Transmission-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) projects.
- Provide regulatory guidance to project teams throughout project lifecycle.
- Assess regulatory risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Indicative Experience and Exposure
- Graduate Engineer in Electrical/ Civil/ Mechanical Engineering with 10 - 15 years’ experience.
- Proven experience working on PT & D or similar energy infrastructure projects.
