Deputy General Manager

Role Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible to lead engineering and design activities for the BESS project, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with EPC requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complete design & engineering of BESS project (electrical, civil, system integration)
• Review and approve design drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
• Ensure design compliance with standards and regulatory guidelines
• Coordinate with execution team to ensure design-to-site alignment
• Optimize design for cost, efficiency, and performance
• Support procurement team with technical inputs and vendor evaluation
• Manage design risks and ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs
• Contribute to enhancing grid stability and renewable integration through efficient design

Indicative Experience and Exposure

• B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering
• 20+ years of experience in design & engineering (Power/EPC projects)
• Strong expertise in electrical systems, substations, or energy storage systems
• Experience in BESS / Renewable Energy Projects preferred
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and design tools
• Leadership experience managing large engineering teams
