Deputy Manager

Role Purpose

• The purpose of this role is to see the procurement of steel commodities like TMT, Strl Steel,
  Plates, HR COIL, LRPC, WIRES etc.
•  The person is responsible for connecting with the vendors on regular basis for deliveries,
  rolling schedule.
• The person will seek the best available quality for the lowest price and evaluate suppliers,
  negotiate contracts and review product/service quality.
• The focus of this role lies on obtaining the best deal for the organization for the specific
  goods and services at the lowest cost and in timely manner.
• The focus of this role lies on resolving procurement issues within a cluster of 4-6 projects to ensure minimum impact on project execution while adhering to the set GRIL guidelines for the function.

• Delivery & Process Control
• Establish relationships with suppliers for the particular function.
• Supplier evaluation, scout for better vendors, consultant selection and identify
opportunities for process optimisation.
• Identify local suppliers based on set evaluation parameters for procurement of specific
goods which is logistically and financially feasible.
• Conduct market analytics (price volatility and delivery system assessments) in order to
identify best available market price for existing, ongoing, future projects.
• Delivery tracking, Inspection tracking, Rolling schedule update and Day to day followup.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

• Diploma in Civil Engineering with 7-10  years experience in procurement

or

• B.T ech / M.Tech with 5-7 years experience in procurement
• Experience in handling procurement functions at projects  with  a  scope  of  around INR 500 -1000 crore
