Role Purpose

  • The incumbent to this role drives the detailed scheduling, cash flow planning and monitoring of a cluster of 4-6 projects.
  • The role holder drives the post-win and pre- design project planning exercise in collaboration with the Project Head based on the details submitted in the bid.
  • The incumbent guides and supports the project planning team in updating the project plan along with material, machinery and resource calculations at frequent intervals based on analysis of planned vs actual progress.
  • The incumbent acts as a point of contact for all planning concerns for the in-scope projects, acting as an intermediary between the project site and the corporate office and raising red flags to seniors as and when required.
  • The incumbent also ensures adherence to all contractual terms and GRIL framework and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning & Monitoring – Participate in creating the schedule, revenue plan and cash flow plan for the cluster of projects in collaboration with the Operations team and obtain approval from Head – P&M and the Director – Operations. Ensure adherence to all contractual terms and GRIL framework and guidelines. Drive the system of capturing the actual  on-ground  data  and  ensure  plans  are  updated  timely. Ensure adherence  to  finalized  guidelines  while  reviewing  project  plans  for  the  cluster  of  projects and advise necessary strategy changes based on the changing on-ground realities. Drive completion of all project planning related activities as per the fixed timelines while ensuring that all the plans are updated and recent. Drive collaboration amongst different projects to share learnings. Drive standardization with the usage of standard templates finalized by the Head - P&M and Directors.
  •  Reporting – Capture accurate data in the standard finalized reporting templates. Analyse the planned vs actual progress for the allocated projects and identify deviations with the  root  cause analysis  of  the deviation  and  raise  red  flags  to  relevant  stakeholders. Drive adherence to  the  defined  guidelines  and  ensure all data is captured in the SAP systems.
  • People Management  – Facilitate development and growth of direct and indirect reportees while keeping track of overall employee engagement and attrition.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

  • Graduate in engineering, preferably Post Graduation in equivalent specialized stream.
  • Min 10 yrs. in Planning & Billing function in construction projects of INR 500 cr+ value.
