Role Purpose

To provide strategic leadership for sales operations by driving revenue growth, strengthening the market footprint, and building a high-performing sales organization. The role ensures alignment between sales, marketing, technical, and product development teams to deliver customer-centric solutions while expanding channel networks and cultivating key customer relationships. It focuses on achieving business targets through effective planning, strong market intelligence, and operational excellence across all sales functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute national sales strategies to meet company sales targets.
  • Expand and optimize the dealer, distributor, and applicator network, particularly in key growth regions.
  •  Recruit, train, and manage regional and area sales teams, establishing clear performance goals.
  • Identify new market opportunities and major corporate customers, managing key accounts directly.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adjust strategies and ensure competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with marketing for campaigns, promotions, and budget utilization, including sales support activities.
  • Prepare accurate and timely sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management review.
  • Supervise order processing, dispatch schedules, and ensure prompt delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, product trials, and provide sales and service support to both the team and clients.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

  • 15-20 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or Channel Management.
  • MBA/PGDM in Marketing or Sales Management preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or commerce.
  • Minimum 5–7 years in a leadership role handling multi-region or national sales responsibilities.
  • Experience in industries such as construction of chemicals, building materials, industrial products, EPC/O&M services, or related technical sales is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of: Delivering sales growth and achieving revenue targets, managing dealer/distributor networks, Leading and developing geographically spread sales teams, Handling key accounts and corporate customers.
