Role Purpose

The role will involve working closely with senior leadership, lenders, investors, Rating Agencies, and internal project teams to execute debt and equity transactions efficiently. The role requires strong expertise in Banking Relationships, Working Capital Management, Financial Modelling, Project Finance, and Structured Debt to support capital structuring and funding requirements across ongoing and upcoming infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Banking & Debt Management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions.
  • Lead end-to-end execution of project finance transactions, including term loans, construction finance, and structured debt.
  • Manage end-to-end working capital banking limits under consortium, Execution of Joint Documentations and related works.
  • Manage loan documentation, sanction letters, security creation, and compliance with covenants.
  • Monitor debt servicing, DSCR compliance, and planning of drawdown schedules.
  • Project Finance
  • Structure project-level funding aligned with cash flow projections and regulatory approvals.
  • Prepare detailed financial models, including project IRR, sensitivity analysis, and cash flow waterfalls.
  • Preparation of Detailed Project Report/Executive Summary and Proposal for the Financial Institution.
  • Evaluate refinancing opportunities to optimize cost of capital.
  • Coordinate with legal, technical, and valuation agencies during lender due diligence.
  • Equity Fund Raise
  • Support capital raising initiatives, including funding, JV structures, and strategic equity partnerships.
  • Prepare investor presentations, IMs (Information Memorandums), and financial models.
  • Participate in investor discussions and negotiation of term sheets.
  • Valuation/Financial Modelling for Asset transfer to InVIT or Project Monetisation.
  • Financial Analysis & Strategy
  • Conduct project viability assessments and scenario modelling.
  • Assist management in capital allocation decisions.
  • Prepare MIS and periodic funding status updates for leadership.
  • Cost of fund optimisation and Effective investment utilisation.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

  • CA / MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution.
  • 6-9 years of relevant experience in Banking, Project Finance, Corporate Finance, and Infrastructure Funding.
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure project cash flow structures and escrow mechanisms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modelling and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in large organizations, EPC, infrastructure, or multi-location setups preferred.
