Role Purpose
The role holder is responsible for the end-to-end responsibility of Operations for the projects under them. They need to ensure on-time, delivery of all the projects with quality & safety. The incumbent will finalize budget & resources requirement for the cluster of projects in consultation with Director Operations. They will be responsible for adherence to budgets and overall cost optimization, thus maintaining profitability for all the projects in scope. The incumbent will drive adoption of all SOPs; contractual, statutory compliance related, people related & all other SOP of the organization. They need to build strong relationships with the clients to build brand recognition and also ensuring on-time release of payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue – Ensure timely revenue recognition as per plan, supervise Projects Heads to achieve project milestone as per timelines. Maintain the existing order book value through achievement of revenue numbers of allocated projects along with any claims, bonus realization.
- Profitability – Work with the Director-Operations/ Executive Director to finalise the budgets along with the requirement of resources for the projects. Monitor the overall project cost, along with analysis avenues of cost optimization, to ensure adherence to budgets. Focus on increasing the organisation profitability via before time, best quality project delivery. Look for new avenues for increase in profitability in and outside of the current cluster of projects.
- Process - Define the operations SOPs and supervise the Project Heads to ensure 100% compliance to the SOPs across all projects. Update Director-Operations on all progress for all projects. Task the Project Head and the Vertical Lead-Safety with regular safety training and driving a high focus on safety to reduce accidents. Ensure GRIL standard quality levels of work for all the projects. Ensuring compliance to all existing processes are in order with Internal Audit norms at all the project sites. Ensure all Contractual, statutory and regulatory compliances are in order at all the project sites.
- Client Management - Coordination & timely escalation for query handling, COS & client correspondence. Coordinate with the client, consultant and relevant government officials for high level discussions. Supervise the Project Heads to ensure all necessary approvals are in place. Interact and build relations with government officials and clients to drive trust.
Indicative Experience and Exposure
- Diploma in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical or Bachelor Engineering/ B. Tech/ M. Tech
- Overall, 16 to 20 yrs. of experience in Project Operations or a similar role in construction industry.
- Experience in Project Management, from conception to delivery. A 5 to7 yrs of proven work experience of working as a Project Coordinator or managing a cluster of projects that are of INR 1,000 crore+ value
