Role Purpose

The incumbent of this role drives the end-to-end operations of sub functions like hardware, software, network, and enterprise (SAP). The incumbent is to design and drive the implementation of the operational guidelines for each sub-function converting the final strategy into actionable steps which will include troubleshooting, vendor management and on – ground IT related activities. The incumbent is to ensure smooth functioning for all the network infrastructure, enterprise (SAP), software and hardware upgrades. The role holder is also responsible for creating the final master data for each GRIL function, managing backups, and ensuring data security of the GRIL IT network while ensuring the adherence to SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate and drive the implementation of IT assignments and keep track of asset performance for a sub – function like Hardware, Software, Enterprises etc.
• Review and plan for the upgrade of security for every sub – function to keep the IT environment secure and breach free. Guide the team in translating the plans for the IT function, for the year, into activities and milestones.
• Review the schedule for the assignment completion and ensure effective allocation of the resources to the determined activities.
• Review and monitor the implementation of IT assignments. Enable the team to understand the requirement of end user and incorporate them into the IT infrastructure framework.
• Guide the teams in modifying and updating the requisite infrastructure in timely and viable manner. Oversee maintenance and support activities.
• Pre – determine the IT asset and implementation quality, objectives, and measures upon which the performance will be evaluated at the various stages. Manage the assignment cost by ensuring on time execution and first-time delivery.
• Support the DO/Head – IT in designing and developing the future strategy, scope, operational framework, policies, and systems to drive the entire IT function.
• Frequent review the IT implementation, track the IT asset and network performance parameter and identify underlying deviations from schedule.
• Review the IT solutions quality and schedule with the concerned authorities and the management team through periodic progress report.
• Ensure that the IT solutions are delivered on time. Monitor the troubleshooting of IT related issues and ensure quick resolution.
• Ensure that all assignment information is appropriately documented and reported to the management team through suitable reporting mechanisms.
• Resolve any issues related to a site and ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

• Diploma in IT/ Electronics/ Computer Sciences with 11- 15 years’ experience in handling organization wide IT projects, preferable in a construction organization.

• BE/B.Tech with 9-13 years' experience or M. Tech with 8 – 12 years’ experience in handling IT projects, preferably in a construction project.
