Role Purpose

The role support development of data pipelines, dashboards, and analytics solutions. The role focuses on working with enterprise systems, databases, and visualization tools to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Engineering Support
    • Extract data from enterprise systems like SAP ERP
    • Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes
    • Work with structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources
  • Database & Querying
    • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
    • Support database management activities (basic level)
    • Ensure data integrity and performance efficiency
  • Dashboard Development
    • Design and develop dashboards using Microsoft Power BI
    • Work on data models, relationships, and DAX calculations
    • Enhance existing dashboards and reports
  • Data Automation & Tools
    • Automate reports using Power BI, Excel (Power Query), or scripts
    • Support integration between systems (SAP, Excel, internal tools)
    • Assist in API-based or file-based data integration (basic exposure)
  • Technical Support & Maintenance
    • Troubleshoot issues in reports, dashboards, and data flows
    • Provide backend support to business users for data-related queries
    • Monitor performance and refresh schedules of dashboards
  • Documentation & Standards
    • Maintain technical documentation for data models, reports, and workflows
    • Follow IT governance, security, and data access protocols

Indicative Experience and Exposure

  • B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science / IT / Data Science
  • 0–1 year experience (freshers with strong technical skills preferred)
  • Strong SQL fundamentals
  • Advanced MS Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables)
  • Hands-on or academic exposure to Microsoft Power BI
  • Basic understanding of Python (Pandas preferred)
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts
