Role Purpose

  • The purpose of this role is to support the Vertical Lead in function and project level decision making for the procurement of specific categories of goods and services from the vendors and suppliers present in the organisations panel.
  • The role holder the local sourcing of goods and services at a project level with an oversight from the Vertical Lead
  • The incumbent will  seek  the  best available  quality  for  the lowest  price and  collaborate with  seniors  in  ensuring that the negotiated  contracts  and product quality is being adhered to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery
    • Ensure completion of the assigned tasks within the procurement function and support the Vertical Lead in vendor management.
    • Ensure timely delivery of purchased stock.
    • Ensure adherence  to  the  defined GRIL guidelines.
    • Own savings  targets. 
    • Collaborate  with the  functional/enabling  teams to  resolve  any  issues  and ensure  smooth function of project execution.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Ensure that the requirements and concerns of the end user are fulfilled.
  • Operational Metrics & Reporting  –
    • Create accurate and timely reports for the management teams.
    • Collect accurate data for the procurement operational metrics, catalogue sourcing.
    • Create records of items bought, costs, deliveries, product performance.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5-9  years experience in procurement

or

  • B.Tech / M.Tech with 3-5 years experience in procurement
  • Experience in handling procurement functions at projects with a scope of around INR 100 -500 crore and above
