Role Purpose
The Vertical Lead – Sales & Marketing is responsible for sales and managing client relationships at the plant location. Provide support to Lead by driving alignment across the team to meet financial & operational targets. The incumbent is expected to generate leads, manage the sales pipeline, and coordinate with internal teams to effectively resolve customer issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure alignment with budgeted vs. actual costs at the plant.
- Develop sales forecasts and contribute to effective resource planning, including inventory and manpower allocation.
- Manage regional sales strategies to expand market share and explore new sales opportunities.
- Support in implementation of the sales plan, ensuring alignment with product offerings.
- Provide support to Lead through developing new clients and ensuring adherence to training & marketing plans.
- Ensure timely availability and delivery of raw material.
- Utilize manpower effectively and resolve grievances promptly.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, quality and safety standards.
- Proactively follow up on pending dues to maintain timely collections.
- Resolve client queries within stipulated days.
- Provide reports and analytics to manager & other stakeholders.
Indicative Experience and Exposure
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration.
- MBA in Marketing or related field.
- Proven experience of 5-11 years in sales.
