Role Purpose
- The purpose of this role is to oversee the functioning of the Insurance sub-function.
- The incumbent is responsible for insuring all the assets of the Group with a cost effective, high coverage and quick claim processing policy/vendor.
- They also facilitate the end-to-end claim management process for the Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Insurance Planning – Support the CFO in designing and finalising the strategy and policy for the insurance taskforce. Design the policy framework and SOP for insurance sub-function. Conduct the internal underwriting exercise for each asset. Manage and keep the policies updated, compare and analyse the most cost effective and high coverage policy for every asset. Responsible for the risk assessment on behalf of the Group of material damage to assets.
- Insurance Management – Implement the strategy and policy for the insurance taskforce. Manage and monitor the taskforce process, research on industry experts and implement the decisions made by the task force. Negotiate and get the most cost effective and high coverage policy for assets like equipment, projects/units, vehicles, property, loans, personnel, etc. in accordance to the leader insurance advisor. Ensure transit insurance for equipment & vehicles and manage custom clearances in case of machinery import. Facilitate the survey, analysis and cost estimates in case of claims. Ensure a hassle free claim process within the timelines.
- MIS & Reporting – Present periodic MIS to the management team about the various insurance policy coverages and cost, the status of claims and expected claim amounts.
- People Management – Identify training needs for direct reports to ensure competency development across domain, industry and behaviour. Maintain and enhance the functional expertise of the team.
Indicative Experience and Exposure
- MBA/MCom/BCom with 5 to 15 years of experience in Insurance
