Senior Manager

Role Purpose

The role holder is accountable for the completion of the design, planning, and execution of civil engineering aspects for Power Transmission Substations, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and support in coordinating the design of substation foundations, buildings, structural supports, and other civil infrastructure of high-voltage substations of 220/440/765KV.
• Prepare detailed design, drawings, specifications, and calculations using relevant engineering software. Manage civil design activities throughout project lifecycles, from conceptual design to construction support under the guidance of vertical lead.
• Assist in cross-functional collaboration with electrical Engineers, Project Managers, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of civil and electrical components.
• Ensure all civil designs adhere to local, national, and international standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, ACI, ASCE) and comply with environmental and safety regulations.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, soil investigations, and technical analysis to ensure structural stability and longevity and share detailed reports to the Vertical Lead.
• Provide support in identifying potential structural risks and suggest mitigation strategies to enhance safety and minimize project delays.
• Participate in site visits for surveys, inspections, and commissioning activities.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

• BE/ B. Tech in Civil/ Structural Engineering with 2-5 years of experience in structural analysis and foundation design for Substation infrastructure.
• M. Tech with 2-4 years of experience.
• Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, ETABS.
• Strong understanding of substation components, construction practices, and material specifications.
