Role Purpose

Finance Business Partner plays a critical role in driving financially sound decision-making across bidding, capital allocation, business expansion, and operational cash flow. This role ensures that financial insights are embedded into core business activities, influencing profitability, risk assessment, and working capital efficiency to maximize returns and optimize cash flow along with strong project finance reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive monthly financial reporting, including combined P&L, project-wise P&L, and variance analysis.
  • Assist in the development of overall Business Unit budgets & planning.
  • Provide insights on profitability trends, cost structures, and financial risks.
  • Ensure timely reporting for leadership decision-making.
  • Provide financial modeling and risk assessment for new bids & proposals.
  • Work with business teams to enhance bid competitiveness while maintaining financial prudence.
  • Support leadership in evaluating CAPEX investments with ROI-driven insights for the business units managed.
  • Assess financing options for major expenditures to optimize capital deployment.
  • Provide financial analysis for new product portfolios and business expansion.
  • Work closely with business leads to align growth plans with financial sustainability.
  • Ensure effective cash flow management in line with project execution plans.
  • Collaborate with Operations Heads to drive timely collections and receivables.
  • Optimize working capital by balancing inventory levels and payables.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational SOPs, financial policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor BU adherence to financial processes, reporting accuracy, and cost allocation standards.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor financial and operational risks across the organization.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

  • Bachelor’s in Finance/ Accounting, or a related field.
  • Master’s in Finance/ Accounting, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of expertise in a Financial Planning & Business Partnering role.
  • Prior experience in EPC industry is preferable.
