Role Purpose

The incumbent of this role is accountable for the entire operational aspects of the assigned P&E function at the plant location. The purpose of this role is to drive the optimization of resources to ensure smooth execution of all the activities with best quality, safety and the timelines set for the plant. The incumbent will ensure efficient utilization of people, material, and machinery as well as adherence to the set standards of GRIL, while facilitating the plant work execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed work plans for the Plants & Equipment team, outlining the sequence of activities needed for successful completion of tasks.
• Estimate resource requirements (human, financial, equipment etc.) and their allocation to the identified activities.
• Drive the performance of machines above certain set standards by raising timely red flags.
• Monitor progress of the preventive and scheduled maintenance of equipment’s and identify any deviations from schedule.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental and managerial procedures.
• Review the daily schedule with the plant team through daily progress reports.
• Ensure on-time deployment of right machinery at the plant location.
• Drive minimum dead stock at plant and an optimum stock of spares as per the schedule.
• Provide regular updates to CO of the progress and request support for resolving major issues creating hindrance in execution.
• Facilitate necessary inputs to the team members to ensure smooth execution.
• Resolve any issues related to the specific system or machinery and ensure accurate and timely reporting and escalation, if required.
• Ensure all plant related information is properly documented and secured.
• Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders, including senior management, on the progress.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

• Diploma in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical with 7-13 years’ experience.
• BE/ B. Tech with 5-11 years’ experience.
• M.Tech with 4-10 years’ experience.
• Experience in handling work with scope across plant location.
