Role Purpose

The ITBP is responsible for managing the relationship between IT and the assigned Business Unit (BU) or Function. The role ensures business requirements are captured accurately, converted into viable IT initiatives, and delivered in alignment with operational needs, site realities, and strategic priorities. The ITBP is a proactive partner driving both efficiency and innovation through technology.

Key Responsibilities

Business IT Requirements Management

  • Engage BU stakeholders to identify operational challenges, compliance requirements, growth opportunities, and digitalization needs.
  • Translate business priorities into IT demand plans and enablement roadmaps aligned with enterprise architecture and digital transformation objectives.
  • Understand business processes, project lifecycles, and site operations to proactively anticipate IT requirements.

Rollout Coordination & Field-Level Deployment

  • Act as the primary IT coordinator for deployment of applications, digital tools, and infrastructure upgrades within the BU.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure deployment readiness, stakeholder alignment, and successful rollout execution.
  • Monitor go-lives, manage risks, support user adoption, and escalate critical issues during stabilization.

Support Enablement & Issue Resolution

  • Serve as the BU escalation point for unresolved IT issues, service delays, and coordination gaps.
  • Work with support teams to ensure timely resolution, SLA compliance, and effective issue management.
  • Track recurring issues and support root cause analysis and improvement initiatives.

BU Stakeholder Communication & Awareness

  • Communicate IT rollouts, outages, upgrades, security advisories, and policy changes.
  • Promote technology adoption and gather structured feedback on system performance and user needs.

Data Collection & Value Tracking

  • Monitor solution adoption, usage, and business impact across sites.
  • Capture key insights, success stories, and improvement opportunities to support continuous value realization.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

  • B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology or related Engineering disciplines
  • 10-12 years in IT business partnering role
