Role Purpose

The role bearer is accountable for the end-to-end completion of the PT & D project. The focus is on driving the areas of project performance in terms of cost, quality and safety, people management, Liasoning with the stakeholders, reviewing the progress of the project and troubleshooting major issues which hinder the progress of their project. Ensure smooth execution of the project with best quality, timelines, and minimum wastage by providing guidance to the project team. The role bearer is expected to work with stakeholders in corporate office to provide accurate information as well as enable project / organisation level decision making on execution aspects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, review and approve the month-wise work plan for the entire team which identify the sequence of activities needed to successfully complete the project.
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the determined activities.
  • Define the budget and scope of project in collaboration with senior management.
  • Pre-determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at various stages and its completion. Manage the project cost by ensuring on time execution and meeting project standards.
  •  Review the project progress and identify the underlying deviations from the schedule. Ensure that the project deliverables are on time within budget and at the required level of quality and safety.
  • Ensure the project financial and people performance remain above certain set standard at all stages of project cycle. Liaison with the relevant statutory authorities for necessary project approvals.
  • Ensure adherence to all compliance as well as SOPs (standard operating processes) set by GRIL corporate office.
  • Assist the Lead-Regulatory & Compliance in relation to liaison with the client, consultant, and government officials to acquire necessary approvals.
  • Apprise the team and senior management (Operations Head) about the project progress and request support for providing necessary inputs for smooth project execution.
  • Work with Operations Head to provide support on technical and contractual issues.
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders, including senior managers in the organization on the progress of the project.
  • Monitor the cashflow projections and report actual cashflow and variance to senior management on regular basis.
  • Ensure development and growth of employees through training and development. Ensure all the employee grievances are handled to minimize the attrition.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

  • Diploma in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical with 15-19 years’ experience in handling construction projects.
  • BE/ B. Tech with 13-17 years’ experience or M. Tech with 12-16 years’ experience in handling construction projects.
  • Experience in handling PT & D construction projects of INR 500 cr +value.
