Role Purpose
The role focuses on overseeing the successful scheduling and execution of MEP part of the projects, while providing expertise and guidance in procurement, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance for tunnel and hydro projects. This includes planning and coordinating activities in line with the main civil project schedule, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications and statutory requirements for the efficient delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Align MEP activities with the main project schedule and ensure smooth execution from inception to commissioning.
- Responsible to plan the mobilization of manpower and equipment for MEP related execution activities, maintaining constant progress monitoring, and adjusting MEP execution plans as necessary to meet project milestones.
- Manage procurement planning and evaluation of MEP materials and equipment to ensure compliance with project requirements, technical specifications, and budget constraints.
- Supervise team members to assure the quality of materials and installations through thorough inspections and documentation processes.
- Direct testing and acceptance of final MEP deliveries to verify they meet project specifications and are ready for commissioning.
- Provide oversight and review of MEP part in the tender documents for accuracy and technical precision.
- Providing oversight in verifying MEP designs with consultants and ensuring compliance with technical specifications for materials and installations.
- Monitoring adherence to regulations and obtaining statutory approvals from authorities such as the Electrical Inspector, Pollution Department, and Fire Department.
- Prepare daily progress reports for MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) works and installation reports in accordance with technical specifications.
- Assist with the preparation and settlement of claims for additional MEP works and ensure proper documentation for commissioning and final billing.
- Oversee the reconciliation of material throughout the project and guide team members in its execution. Guide on the preparation of final testing and commissioning documents, as well as obtaining necessary signoffs from the end client.
Indicative Experience and Exposure
- BE/B.Tech in Civil/ Mechanical with more than 15-18 years of experience.
- Experience of construction method of warehouse/ industrial/ pre-engineered building projects.
